- Support and response to requests for additional information.
We explain the scope and needs of the Environmental Economic Assessment Chapter. We share our experience with relevant professionals and seek to coordinate with the other chapters. We aim to produce coherent documents aligned with the projects.
We begin by requesting the Project Impact Assessment Matrix and Management Sheets. This is the initial and essential input for carrying out the impact selection and internalization analysis. We then request information related to characterization, use and utilization, project description, and zoning.
We carry out the impact selection process, in accordance with ANLA Resolution 1669 of 2017. Impacts are prioritized between those that are internalized and those that are not internalized.
We perform the internalization analysis using our IntVEA tool. An Environmental Assessment with Project and an Environmental Management Plan are essential.
Together with you, we agree on the impacts that ARE assessed and those that ARE NOT. We present our analysis and provide feedback on any findings that may contribute to the project.
The objective of this step is to ensure that the environmental economic assessment chapter is fully aligned with the Environmental Impact Study, including its description and scope.
We develop the most appropriate valuation methodologies for the impacts and benefits subject to this process, based on technical and regulatory references such as:
• Resolution 1084 of 2018.
• Resolution 1669 of 2017.
• Resolution 1478 of 2003.
Among other technical documents that may be deemed appropriate.
We prepared the document, following the five elements of the general structure of the environmental economic assessment. Our documents follow the following step-by-step process to achieve this:
1. Introduction
2. Impact categorization
3. Internalization analysis
4. EV of negative impacts
5. Benefit quantification
6. Decision criteria
We submit our document and its annexes to a verification process to ensure compliance with the technical and mandatory elements in accordance with the regulatory framework, primarily Resolution 1669 of 2017.
This step aims to mitigate the risk of structural requirements. However, we cannot eliminate the risk of requirements existing.
Our client's comments allow us to improve the document. In this sense, we strive to deliver a clear and fully understandable document.
A question from our client could be a requirement from the Authority.
