Response to obligations Environmental Economic Assessment

We prepare the response document to requirements raised by Environmental Authorities through any of the administrative acts, Resolutions, Orders, or Minutes.

Our scope and deliverables:

  • Document responding to obligations and requirements of the Environmental Economic Assessment.
  • Calculation reports.
  • Update of the Environmental Economic Assessment document (if required and appropriate).
  • Updated GDB (when required).
  • Support and guidance during oversight meetings.
  • Support and guidance during the follow-up meeting and until the obligations are closed.
  • Guarantee support through review of the reiteration and its considerations.
1. Kick-off meeting

We explain the elements of the environmental economic assessment. We then jointly analyze which of these elements are impacted by the requirements set forth by the Environmental Authority.

2. Request for information

We begin by requesting the Administrative Documents from the Project File. This is the initial and essential input for constructing the timeline of obligations. We then request information related to the project's characterization, use and utilization, project description and zoning, environmental assessment, environmental management plan, and environmental assessment (EEA).

3. Response Strategy

Regarding nonconformities, considerations, and requirements, from oldest to most recent, according to administrative acts and technical concepts. We propose a response strategy, to be subsequently agreed upon with the client.

4. Agreement on the response strategy

Together with the client, we agree on the proposed strategy, making the necessary considerations and adjustments. We list the questions that will be raised with the Environmental Authority during a technical roundtable or information clarification meeting.

5. Document construction

We prepared the response document in accordance with:

  • The considerations and requirements expressed by the Environmental Authority in the administrative acts.
  • The jointly agreed-upon response strategy.
  • The questions resolved with the Environmental Authority during the technical roundtable, if one was held.
6. Internal Assurance

We submit our document and its annexes to a verification process to ensure compliance with the technical and mandatory elements in accordance with the regulatory framework, primarily Resolution 1669 of 2017 and the agreed strategy. This step aims to mitigate the risk of repetition.

7. Follow-up meeting

We assist with the gathering of additional information. At the Environmental Authority, you can submit a request for information or reiterate your requirements or obligations.
